Alice Moss blends acrylic paint, metal, and reclaimed materials into dynamic, multimedia artwork inspired by Northern Michigan and Detroit.

About Alice
Art is a big part of my life. As a young girl, I was always painting and making things with my father, who was a painter and ceramicist. From noodle sculptures and plaster castings to drawings and paintings, there was always a project going.
I continually collect stones, driftwood, rusty metal, and all manner of things, figuring out what story they tell and how to incorporate them in my artwork.
The possibilities are endless, and one thing leads to another; I love coming up with new combinations and different solutions to a vision.
"Alice Moss’s paintings are enchanting. She synthesizes her memories of Northern Michigan into atmospheric vignettes of beaches and woodlands, to which one dearly wishes to be transported."
